Master Program subscriptions are available for a maximum of two years, with all learning modules including the Silver Master Electrician assessment and the Gold Master Electrician assessment to be completed in this timeframe. An extension for third year access may be offered according to individual circumstances and based on individual application to MEA and a subscription extension fee.

Master Program subscribers will receive access to some safety documents and templates, with these documents available to be downloaded on commencement of specific safety modules as you progress through the program.

Yes – if you have successful completed a learning module and are currently working on another module, you can go back and revisit previously completed modules without disrupting your learning path progress.
No, it is a requirement that all learning modules within the Master Program are completed to be eligible to successfully complete the program and receive the Silver Master Electrician and Gold Master Electrician certifications. All activities within the Master Program have been carefully designed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools and skills to build and grow a safe, profitable and sustainable business. In the event that a major event occurs within your business e.g. injury or sickness, we will work with you to ensure you can return to your learning pathway as soon as you have capacity.
The Gold Master Electrician assessment is an MEA audit tool for evaluating your business’s Safe Systems of Work and compliance with relevant electrical standards, acts and regulations. The Electrical Safety Acts, and other relevant legislation, require the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) to exercise due diligence to meet their primary duty of care. The Gold Master Electrician assessment is designed to help you prove that you’ve taken these steps and run an electrical contracting business with best practices.
The Gold Master Electrician assessment is split into 15 sections:

Yes, if you have successfully completed all Silver Block learning modules including the Silver Master Electrician assessment, your business will become a Silver Master Electrician. Upon completion of the entire program including the Gold Master Electrician assessment, your business will become a Gold Master Electrician. All members completing the Master Program will be awarded with Silver and Gold Master Electrician collateral on successful completion of the Silver Block and the Gold Block, including digital logos, vehicle stickers and Silver or Gold Master Electrician membership certificates.
It is a requirement of the Master Program to complete each module in the prescribed order. This order has been selected strategically to help all learners build firm foundations to strengthen their knowledge and processes in key areas of their business.
No – learning modules are self-paced and can be completed according to your schedule. You can also partially complete a module and then log in and pick up where you left it, a few days later.
The Master Program guides you through the essential knowledge you need to start and run a successful electrical contracting business. It is split into two blocks: the Silver Block and the Gold Block. Each block contains 12 modules with one assessment (the Silver Master Electrician assessment or the Gold Master Electrician assessment). Each learning module addresses a key area of your contracting business. Videos from industry experts and downloadable workbooks, guides, templates and checklists will help you implement vital strategies in your business. To complete a module, you’ll need to watch the videos, read the guides and complete one or more short quizzes. You’ll then receive a certificate of completion and unlock the next module.
