
Kate Raymond, Chief Executive Officer
Kate commenced as CEO, MEA in April 2024. She has over 25 years’ experience working in the construction industry and not-for-profit sector, including industry associations, senior executive public sector roles and has worked as a construction lawyer in the private and public sectors. She is also a non-executive board member of a community housing provider.
Kate is a proactive, strategic leader with a passion for delivering solutions to complex problems. She has a focus on creating positive, collaborative work environments and achieving goals while enhancing team well-being and development.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland with first-class honours and a university medal and an Arts Degree with a Government major. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a QBCC Site Supervisor (Low Rise) licence.

Robert Pearson, General Manager of Operations
Robert Pearson is an accomplished General Manager of Operations with over 18 years of diverse industry experience, spanning electrical, civil, mining, and infrastructure sectors. Possessing a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business and Communication, Robert excels at steering organisations through dynamic transitions, with a focus on fostering sustainable growth and cultivating a positive corporate culture.
As a proficient creative problem-solver, Robert has a track record of crafting data-driven strategies that consistently yield exceptional results. His expertise extends to the successful delivery of complex system implementations, ensuring seamless project execution. Furthermore, Robert is skilled in formulating Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks, advocating ethical and responsible business practices.
Robert’s operational management acumen shines through as he excels in optimising the alignment of people, systems, and resources to achieve organisational objectives.

Frances Poultney, General Manager, Corporate
With 20+ years’ experience in membership-based businesses and not-for-profit organisations, Frances prioritises the needs of members with a focus on delivering highly effective products and services that deliver on expectations. Frances’ approach to projects is collaborative, seeking continuous improvement in system functionality, whilst encouraging diverse thinking amongst the team – always seeking a better way.
Having been involved with multiple system implementations, including both SaaS and custom system builds involving the digitisation of industry documentation, Frances is acutely aware of the need to meet UX requirements, customer expectations and strategic business objectives through the whole project lifecycle and beyond.
Maintaining a practical approach to challenges and seeking opportunities to navigate towards successful outcomes for the business, its team and most importantly, its members.
