The Master Program provides participants with a complete journey of business support and improvement via a series of online learning modules.  All learning modules are self-paced and delivered via a series of training videos delivered by industry experts accompanied by downloadable how-to guides, workbooks and other essential guidance tools. To complete a module, you’ll need to watch the videos, read the guides and complete one or more short quizzes. You’ll then receive a certificate of completion for each module.

The Master Program is split into three different learning streams: Master Program – Business Foundations; Master Program – Safety; and Master Program – Workplace Relations. Each stream has been designed to help participants run a profitable, safe and sustainable business.

Who is eligible to subscribe to the Master Program?2025-05-14T11:26:03+10:00

Master Program – Business Foundations subscriptions are open to members and non-members of Master Electricians Australia.

Master Program – Safety and Workplace Relations learning streams are open to members of Master Electricians Australia only. To become a member, subscribe here.

How much does the Master Program – Business Foundations cost?2025-05-14T14:59:57+10:00

Master Program – Business Foundations is free for all Master Electricians Australia members.
For non-members who have a QLD or NT electrical contractors’ licence, JETCO Pty Ltd has subsidised your Program access cost to be $500 (ex. GST).
For all other non-members, the cost of the course is $1,000 (ex. GST).

Do I need to complete an entire learning module in one sitting?2025-05-14T12:43:18+10:00

No – learning modules are self-paced and can be completed according to your schedule. You can also partially complete a module and then log in and pick up where you left it, a few days later.

Can I complete the Master Program – Business Foundations learning modules in any order?2025-05-14T11:19:32+10:00

Yes – learning modules in the Business Foundations stream can be completed in any order according to your preference. To complete this learning stream and opt-in to complete a Silver Master Electrician assessment, all Business Foundations modules must be fully completed.

Can I become a Silver Master Electrician if I subscribe to the Master Program – Business Foundations learning stream? 2025-06-12T10:37:12+10:00

Members of Master Electricians Australia will be invited to complete a Silver Master Electrician assessment six months post Business Foundations subscription date. To become eligible to receive Silver Master Electrician certificate, all Business Foundations modules plus the Silver Master Electrician assessment must be successfully completed

Member access to the Silver Master Electrician assessment is available at $300.00 (ex. GST). This fee includes dedicated support from an MEA Field Support Advisor including reviewing and marking all assessment submissions and providing advice and support regarding assessment evidence submissions where necessary. The Silver Master Electrician certification will be awarded to the member business (not an individual person).

On successful completion of the Silver Master Electrician assessment, the member business will be awarded with Silver Master Electrician collateral including digital logos, vehicle stickers and a Silver Master Electrician membership certificate.

What does the Silver Master Electrician assessment involve?

The Silver Master Electrician assessmentis an MEA audit tool to evaluate your businesss Safe Systems of Work and compliance with relevant electrical standards, acts and regulations. The Electrical Safety Acts, and other relevant legislation, require the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) to exercise due diligence to meet their primary duty of care. The Silver Master Electrician assessment is designed to help you prove that you’ve taken these steps and run an electrical contracting business with best practices.

The Silver Master Electrician assessment includes six (6) sections:

  1. Standards and Regulations
  2. Policies
  3. Compliance
  4. Auditing
  5. Risk Management
  6. Financial Management.

For members wanting to do the Silver Assessment, more information will be provided on enrolment in the assessment module.

Does the Master Program include learning content about technical processes or technical advice?2025-05-14T15:02:12+10:00

The Master Program – Business Foundations focuses on information, processes and methods to help improve your business skills, and does not include technical electrical training.

Do I receive access to ME Safety with the Master Program subscription?2025-05-14T12:57:52+10:00

No, ME Safety is available via a separate subscription. Please refer to MEA’s membership pricing for more information about ME Safety fees. Master Program subscribers will receive access to some safety documents and templates, with these documents available to be downloaded on commencement of specific safety modules as you progress through the program.

Who is LearnUpon and why have I received an email from them?2025-05-14T12:40:31+10:00

LearnUpon is MEA’s dedicated online learning platform for the Master Program. Within a few days of your online registration, you will receive a registration email from notifications@learnupon.com to set up your LearnUpon profile.

Please ensure you action the steps outlined in the registration email to commence your Master Program learning journey. This registration email will be sent to the same address supplied in your original Master Program subscription request

Members of Master Electricians Australia will be invited to complete a Gold Master Electrician assessment six months post enrolment in the Safety and/or Workplace Relations learning streams. Gold Master Electrician certification will be awarded upon successful completion of the Silver Master Electrician certification requirements, plus ALL modules featured Safety and Workplace Relations learning streams and the Gold Master Electrician assessment. To become a Master Electricians Australia member, join here.

Member access to the Gold Master Electrician assessment is available at $500.00 (ex. GST).
