Participants in the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme and holders of Australian National Registry of Emissions Units (ANREU) accounts currently need to provide identity documents multiple times to register new projects or open additional accounts.

The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) is proposing amendments to the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Rule 2015 and the Australian National Registry of Emissions Units Regulations 2011 to change the need to resubmit identity documents if they have already been provided for another activity.
